Wise Guy was composed by Eliseo DiDomenica whose credits include music in the television series Deadly Riddle, Vice, Trail of Betrayal, The Deadly Omen, Woman Behind Bars, The East Area Rapist, Dateline, 20/20, and numerous production music albums including 101M034 Strange & Mysterious for 101 Music Pty Ltd, released earlier this year.

“When Art from 101 Music asked me to create a quirky, quick-witted, cheeky yet twisted dramatic style for this album I knew I was in for a fun yet challenging project.

“I utilized all sorts of synth keyboards for sound shaping, mallet instruments, bassoon, bass clarinet, toy percussion and drum kits to create novel compositional momentum for this collection.  It was important to include lighter moments amongst the drama with a quirky sound shaping approach to balance things out between the serious and the humor without making it overly comic.  The idea was to create unexpected melodic turns, weaving in and out of the norm, bouncing off against kooky percussion grooves but not to be overly dark nor too melodramatic, and yet not too light.

“Working with Art is an absolute delight and an inspiring collaborative process, especially as he gets me to do things I didn’t know I was capable of.

Working with Eliseo is always a breath of fresh air as his work is solid to the core, creative to the bone, and he understands the value of clean state-of-the-art audio deliveries.  His professionalism is most exceptional.

The project was beautifully mastered by the renowned audio guru ‘Kathy Naunton’ of dB Mastering (Sydney, Australia) who is an absolute delight to work with.
